Berea Baptist Church
History
The
Berea Baptist Church traces its beginning to a meeting of beleivers on
Wednesday night, May 15, 1935 in the vacant house of Miss Ella Brown on
the Hopewell Road, in Plant City, Florida. Brother L.O. Calhoun presidedat
this meeting and continued to minister to the group unitl the acceptance
of the call by the first pastor. At the first meeting various committees
were appointed looking for a permanent organization.
By
the first Sunday in September, 1935, the church building had been erected
and the permenant organization was effected on that day.
Today
Berea Baptist Church is still strong and growing in service to our Lord.
We are located on Jim Redman Parkway (Highway 39) in Plant City, Florida.
We are under the spriitual direction of Pastor Carl Hemphill. If you live
in the Plant City area or are visiting we welcome you to join with us for
worship.

PRAY FOR OUR LIFE ACTION CRUSADE
The most important way each of us
can prepare for the coming crusade in to pray. Through prayer God speaks
to us, showing us our Spiritual needs and leading us into a right relationship
with Him.
God then fills our hearts with concern
for the spiritual welfare of others and leads us to share Christ with them.
Let us then give ourselves to prayer - privately and in groups, as the
Spirit leads. The more we pray in sincerity and truth, the more God will
revive spiritually our church and community. |
